Science, to me as a PhD student, is not just about the monotonous process of toiling hard in the lab and producing results, but rather a process of producing and disseminating knowledge that can aid both our professional and private spheres of life. Since joining my doctoral program, I have come to realize it with greater force that community building, networking, outreach and teaching are an essential part of being a scientist.

Many times you could be the expert in something, or maybe just knowledgeable enough about something in a way that can aid other's understanding of the subject - and can help them do better science or even understand basic things in a better way. In such a case, spreading one's expertise is always a fulfilling, although a demanding, task. In most of the cases, you always learn something valuable back - be it through teaching a class, interacting with public, participating in a workshop or even being a part of a multi-disciplinary research group.

In this section the following three links will take you to three sub-sections of what I thought were educational activities that I undertook which both from a teaching and participatory perspective, which have changed my life and affected the way I do science.

There is also a link to my educational podcast about evolution, which can be found here. Please do check it out!

This section covers any courses, workshops or tutorials that I have taught in the past
This section talks about the workshops, fellowships and working groups that have changed and affected the nature of my research and professional life
This section covers any scientific outreach that I have done in the past, as well as organizing any large scale event

If any of the activities that I was a part of, caught your attention and you want to know more about it - please do not hesitate to contact me.
